Lack of sleep

A newborn baby takes a toll on your sleep and/or mood. Research shows that mothers who have just given birth sleep an average of 4 hours per night. This lack of sleep puts a strain on relationships and leads to poorer functioning both at home and at work. It results in absenteeism for a third of mothers, with even higher rates for mothers over 32 years old.

Our approach

Three dedicated experienced therapists

We work briefly and preventively using the contextual, solution-focused, and integrative approach. Each of us has a slightly different background.
Sometimes just a few sessions are enough. If more is needed, we will explore further together with you. We avoid waiting lists and start working as soon as you are ready. We are a practice with rich expertise and years of experience. We work with individuals, couples, on-site, and via video calls. Every Friday morning, you can find Maryleen at amstermam on Westerdok. She and her team are at Bickerswerf on other days.
