As a welcome gift, all Amstermam clients receive an early ultrasound. During the early ultrasound we can see if the heart is beating and if the pregnancy is in the womb. We do this ultrasound from 8 weeks. Before 8 weeks, the ultrasound can give false reassurance or happiness.

You always get 3-5 printed photos and a private link to all the images online. You can download the images within 30 days. After 30 days the acces to the images will expire.
The best chance for beautiful 3D/4D images is between 20-30 weeks of pregnancy. It can happen that the position of the baby or the amount of amniotic fluid hinders clear images, despite combining all techniques.
A few things that are good to know in advance to prevent disappointments.
Please note that you need to be at least 15 weeks pregnant, and in most cases, we can determine the gender at that point. However, a little cooperation from your baby is also required. To increase the chances of success, we recommend coming with a reasonably full bladder. Drink two large glasses of water an hour beforehand. You will always receive 3-5 printed photos and a link to all the images in a secure environment. You have 30 days to download the images; after that, the link will expire.
We look at the baby in 2D, 3D, and 4D. The best chance of getting beautiful images is between 27-29 weeks of pregnancy. You will always receive 3-5 printed photos and a link to all the images in a secure environment. You have 30 days to download the images; after that, the link will expire.
This ultrasound is purely for viewing and has no medical purpose. This means the baby will not be measured. If you do wish for measurements – we do this starting from 28 weeks, not earlier – you can inform your midwife before scheduling your appointment.
Note: besides having good equipment and skilled sonographers, we also need the cooperation of your baby.
