Before 8 weeks, the ultrasound can give false reassurance or happiness.

The best chance for beautiful 3D/4D images is between 20-30 weeks of pregnancy. It can happen that the position of the baby or the amount of amniotic fluid hinders clear images, despite combining all techniques.
A few things that are good to know in advance to prevent disappointments.
You should be at least 15 weeks pregnant to be able to see the gender in most cases. However, a little cooperation from your baby is also needed. To increase the chances of success, we advise you to come with a full bladder. Drink 2 large glasses of water one hour before the appointment. You will receive printed photos at the end of the ultrasound and a USB stick.
We examine the baby in 2D, 3D, and 4D. The best chance for beautiful images is between 27-29 weeks of pregnancy. During the ultrasound, you will receive printed photos and a USB stick with moving images.
This ultrasound is purely for observation purposes and has no medical intention. It means that the baby's measurements will not be taken. If you desire to have measurements taken, which we do from 28 weeks onwards and not earlier, you can indicate this to your midwife before scheduling the appointment.
Note: besides having good equipment and skilled sonographers, we also need the cooperation of your baby.
